Several films over the decades have been filmed on them, including Boy on a Dolphin (1957) on Hydra, The Big Blue (1988) on Amorgos and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005) on Santorini. When it comes to glamour and high style on the seas, there's nothing more captivating than the Aquarama. Dreamed up by the legendary Carlo Riva, the run-about wooden speed has become an icon of Italian design and the Riva Aquarama book, edited by Assouline, celebrates its 60th Anniversary. Beloved for its clean lines, mahogany, glistening chrome details and signature robin's egg-blue and cream upholstery, the Aquarama reflected la dolce vita optimism of early-'60s Italy; it's impossible to picture the glittering Côte d'Azur and coasts of Europe without visions of endless summers spent lounging on the back of the boat in the warm summer sun, and the gentle roar of the engine as the Aquarama cuts through the surf.
The Riva icon enjoyed a mythical status and was beloved by movie stars, heads of state and royalty-everyone from Brigitte Bardot, Elizabeth Taylor, Gunter Sachs and the royal family of Monaco, among countless other luminaries, have been enchanted by the Aquarama's spell. Of the about 760 completed Aquaramas made in the Sarnico shipyard, Riva experts estimate around 650 are still in existence, which only adds to the boat's legendary status. But more than just a trophy, the Aquarama is fiercely beloved by its owners and enthusiasts alike-it's not just a boat, but the realization of a dream. In this exceptional tribute to the Aquarama, author Michael Verdon tells the story of the legendary boat and brings to life its dolce vita charm. The book is also offered in a special edition, presented in a luxury mahogany box that is crafted to express the beauty of the Aquarama's magnificent hull. This special edition offers owners, collectors and enthusiasts alike a piece of the Riva dream. -

In Japan, cooking often bears aesthetic value, and the making of sushi is exalted as one of the finest culinary crafts. In line with this ideal of food as art, the Japanese often employ the word shokunin, loosely defined as artisan, to refer to highly skilled sushi masters. Connoting excellence and devotion to one's craft, this title is reserved for those who approach their work with an artistic eye and seemingly spiritual sense of purpose, or ikigai.
In this stunning monograph, James Beard Award-winning photographer and author Andrea Fazzari profiles twenty of the most celebrated sushi masters on the Japanese food scene. Through a combination of striking photography and intimate essays, each chapter introduces readers to a new master and restaurant, capturing the aesthetics, philosophy, and level of dedication that illustrates their status as the world's finest culinary shokunin.
A must-have for sushi enthusiasts-and for anyone interested in fine food culture-Sushi Shokunin is the first book of its kind of the most revered sushi masters and restaurants. Fazzari invites readers to explore the rarefied world of top shokunin who view sushi making not only as a career, but also as a way of life. -

From sharp suits and cult watches to glamorous gowns and scene-stealing bathing suits, James Bond Style explores the timeless fashion in all twenty-five Bond movies, not only of 007 himself throughout the eras, but also his nemeses, love interests, and colleagues. Academy-Award-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming, who worked on five Bond films, wrote the book's text and captions, in addition to contributing to creative direction and photo selection. The book also includes an introduction from Dylan Jones OBE, editor-in-chief of the London Evening Standard.
The book is separated by Bonds in chronological order, namely Sean Connery, Roger Moore, George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig, each chapter filled with the most iconic looks from the actors' films, from Dr. No to No Time To Die. In addition, there are extensive behind-the-scenes insights and stories from both the costume designers who worked on every movie as well the actual designers behind the outfits-think: Donatella Versace, Tom Ford, and Jenny Packham-plus a host of actors, from Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig to Michelle Yeoh and Grace Jones. These anecdotes reveal the sheer scale of the business that is Bond style, for instance, thirty-three bespoke Tom Ford tuxedos were made for No Time To Die in record time (and received just twenty- four hours before filming), while in Quantum Of Solace, Prada fabricated twenty dresses for Olga Kurylenko-as she wore the piece through most of the film, they needed one dress for each stage of the action, from brand-new to dust-covered to ruined.
And all the most memorable moments are inside, like Ursula Andress emerging from the waves in that famous white bikini, to the homages to that scene: Halle Berry in a shocking orange La Perla bathing suit in Die Another Day, and, in a completely unplanned and now completely viral take, Daniel Craig, also in La Perla, on a Bahamian beach in Casino Royale (one of the trunks used was later auctioned for £44,450).
Thanks to its never-before-seen sketches, detailed fashion analysis, and extensive research by the series official archivist, we're confident in saying that no book in history has chronicled the sartorial aspect of the Bond franchise as comprehensively as James Bond Style, otherwise known as the ultimate Bond style bible.
